Three juveniles have been identified as being responsible for the incident, police said, after a fight broke out at the school following the ceremony on Rubber Avenue. There were minor injuries reported at the scene.
According to police, the district’s School Resource Officer is continuing to investigate the incident.
“A thank you to the officers assigned to the graduation detail and NHS security and staff whose prompt response did not allow the unfortunate actions of a few interrupt what was a special night for Naugatuck's students and families,” the department said.
